A look to the right and you‘re not here
Reoccurring thoughts when you‘re not here
Time and space expand when you‘re not here
Delusions never end when you‘re not here
Retrieving memories leads nowhere
A world left to explore, I don‘t care
When you‘re not there
Impressions and experience in vain
Ultimately silence remains
Colours and shades
Lights on the city
The night is alive but you‘re not there
Music is playing, moving the dancers
An appeal to all the senses but you‘re not there
You‘re not there

This is a journey to match confused memories and old photographs to the voice from long distance calls in anticipation for love. This is a journey to leave all expectations and fears of misconception in anticipation for love.
Moving from wilderness into familiar terrain.
On franconian ridges, on this tilting train.
In a state of the art vessel, where I fail to fall asleep, while parents cry to keep their offspring silent in their seats. And quietly the air-conditioning’s successful in its task. Determinedly conjuring an early winter upon us. “Ladies and Gentleman I owe you an apology: Due to malfunctional management and failing tilt technology, we’ll have approximately 90 minutes of delay. And we’ll take the out of date tracks over the hills and far away.”
Now I’m seasick on a train as it sways on the tracks heading home. With Sun Kil Moon on in ear headphones, resting my eyes on the sleepers passing by.
In a station next to nowhere, there was a suicidal guy. He put an end to his life and all the traffic on this line. And just like last time when the engines broke, the porters are handing out free black humour and coke.
Now I’m seasick on a train as it sways on the tracks heading home. With Sun Kil Moon on in ear headphones, resting my eyes on the sleepers passing by.
Made it to Munich and it suddenly is crowded, oh dear. Don’t tell me it’s that time of the year. There’s a sweaty smell in here and the air is getting thicker. It’s the Beerfest, everyone welcome to Bavaria! Now I’m alone with a hundred drunks that smoke cigarettes and dance, singing old Bavarian folk songs of wisdom and love.
Mark Kozelek, take me away...
Now I’m seasick on a train as it sways on the tracks heading home.
With Sun Kil Moon on in ear headphones, fading out reality and passing through time.
Moving from wilderness into familiar terrain.
On franconian ridges, on this tilting train.

Sleep

Well, fate’s been absent and left all directions open, thinking we’d be glad.
But all the ways sound promising, when pressure’s only distant.
But this uncertain future is certainly coming.
Please let me sleep, I’d rather have answers.
At night not sleeping, not awake, the same thoughts return to haunt,
deliriously mixing up with other dreams, forming a nightmare of worries.
Repeating themselves endlessly.
Please let me sleep. Vanish and free me.
And all the music in my head’s still waiting for a way to be heard.
But after listening through sleepless nights these melodies seem way too familiar,
as if unconsciously stolen.
Please let me sleep. Dissolve into silence.
